At the Percy Norman Swim Club, we consider our swimmers, their parents, and our coaches all important members of the PNSC family.

One of our goals as a club is to promote positive relationships between our members and hence, a number of social activities are offered, such as Pizza Days, Breakfast Socials, Fun Days, and Coaching luncheons. It is our hope that PNSC members will take advantage of these opportunities to get acquainted with others, share a few laughs, and perhaps even make lifelong friendships.

The two main social events during the year are the Christmas Party, held in December, and the Year-End Party, held in June. These two family-oriented events, both potluck, are now legendary as the wonderful spread put on by PNSC parents becomes more impressive every year. Various foods from around the world are prepared, including tasty entrées, such as sushi, salmon, spring rolls, pizza, chow mein, BBQ duck, and much, much more!

In addition, we celebrate the successes of our swimmers at these two events, handing out Mile Swim certificates and other awards. Our talented team of PNSC coaches, assistant coaches, and junior leaders are also recognized. The Christmas and the Year-End parties both take place in the gymnasium at the Riley Park Community Centre.

For these two events, we ask that our parents note the following:

• In an effort to help reduce our carbon footprint, we ask that each family bring their own plates, cups, and utensils. Please do not bring paper plates or plastic utensils as we would like to minimize the amount of garbage.

• As we need your help in setting up tables, chairs and food preparation, please come early. In addition, we would appreciate if parents could stay behind a few minutes and help clean up after.

We look forward to seeing the entire PNSC family at these two special social events. We guarantee that your family will have a wonderful time!
